Oil Cooler Noises from SKU 190046

Last Updated: Oct 05, 2015 03:32PM EDT
question:

I was going to install the oil cooler 190046 that I purchased from you, but I noticed that sounds of some sort of debris make a rattling sound when I rotate it. not just one or two things, but many. it sounds like Maracas. can you send me a new one that is free from debris?

answer:

The sound your customer is hearing is not debris. It is actually small spring like components inside the tubes that create a turbulent flow of oil through the tubes to help with the cooling of the oil. When you roll the oil cooler from left to right you will hear these spring like components sliding up and down the tubes. It sounds as if something is loose in the cooler. That is the way the cooler is designed. It should be making that noise.
