|What should I do if my package is delayed or late?|
|If ups.com Tracking shows that you have an "exception," that means an event or situation, such as a customs delay, has caused your delivery to be rescheduled. Check the Shipment Progress section in Tracking for details about changes in delivery schedule.
Shipment movement information is captured each time we scan your tracking label in the UPS delivery system. There may be several days between scans if the package is going cross-country or moving between countries.
If your package is expected to be in transit for more than a day between tracking scans, we'll display the date of the next expected tracking event in the Shipment Progress area. This message does not mean that your package is behind schedule or has stopped moving.
Unless otherwise noted, your shipment is still moving even though no new tracking scans may appear for a day or two.
Request automatic notifications so that you know where your package is in the delivery process. There are two ways to get notifications.
1. The easiest way to stay informed about your package status is by becoming a UPS My Choice® Member, which allows you to set preferences to schedule email or text notifications on the following:
2. If you aren't a UPS My Choice® Member, you can still request status updates by email or text when you track a package.
