Let's get one thing straight. Your factory warranty is no purchase necessary. BUT it works like any other manufacturing warranty on products in the US. You ship in the item, it is inspected and approved, then the manufacturer will reship directly to you a replacement for the applicable shipping charges (free of charge minus freight)
This process can take upwards of a solid month. This is fine if we don't need our vehicle, but if you per chance cannot afford the downtime, we offer a smooth solution.
Reorder a replacement online. Receive, install and remove the claim item. use the replacement box for the return shipment and follow the manufacturing return procedures to return the claim in for refund direclty to your credit card.
Your vehicle suffers minimal downtime, you get a box that fits the item (which is hard to do!) and you receive your refund directly back to whatever credit card you use for the temporary replacement.
